I have had a very busy fun week:
- Starting with working on the samples for my up-coming card classes this week.. tweaking and re-making a couple of the cards I just wasn't happy with.. Happy now with the results for some really cute cards..
- On Thursday I attended the first swim meet of my granddaughter Karleigh.. It was a beautiful day and the water in the pool goes over the edge of the cool deck so we could put our feet in the cool water where we sat and watched.. and it made the 103 degree day quite comfortable . Karleigh had a great meet. She had turned 16 on Thursday also.

On Friday my friend Connie and I headed to Mesa for some errands and fun.. shopped at one of our favorite scrapbook stores and then had lunch at the really cute little sandwich shop called "Sweet Cakes".. terrific lunch..
After lunch we decided to go to the movies and see "All About Steve", a funny, "no brainier" movie. Just full of pratfalls and laugh out loud funny.. Fun way to relax.
Saturday morning was the baptism of my granddaughter Alli. She had asked me to give one of the talks and I was so honored that she asked me to participate in her day. She looked so precious in her white dress and was so excited for this special day in her life. After her baptism we all went over to Steve & Karen's home for a luncheon.. Great time with family, many cousins on both sides, so much fun for the kids..
On Saturday evening Alli, her mom Karen, Connie & I went to the Phoenix Mercury basketball game. Steve had gotten premier tickets & so we got to have valet parking, a pasta pomodoro dinner before the game at the arena and then sit in the cool leather seats right on the floor next to the team. The Mercury were playing for the Western conference division championship.. They won..great game. They are ranked #1 in the WNBA.. We really have a great team and it was so much fun to sit right by them. I even caught a ball that came our way (Connie ducked).
During half time Olympic Gold medal winner Jackie Joyner-Kersee was honored as the Mercury's 2009 Woman of Influence and so we were right there up close and personal to her..cool. Connie got to hold her cell phone while they interviewed her.. Wanted to call someone and say "guess whose phone I am calling on?" but we didn't..

So as I reflect on this past week, I love this time of year, many activities to participate in and look forward to, with friends & family I will be kept very busy.. Love it.
