On Thursday I was able to spend some quality with my two oldest grand-daughters, Morgan & Marissa. Kristan was headed for the Arizona Scrapbook Convention, so she asked me to take Morgan to her weekly Dr.'s appointment. I picked up Morgan at 10:30 and headed to the Dr.'s, while she was there I browsed at some of the stores nearby.. Ross and Bed Bath & Beyond. I can always pass the time there. After picking up Morgan at 12:00 we headed back to my end of town and to Paradise Bakery for lunch. We just hung out for the afternoon and watched t.v. and talked and laughed..Morgan is walking full time now and it is so great to see the sparkle back in her eyes. She wears her boot to walk every other day and uses her one crutch the other days with her regular shoes on. She is really making good progress. At 4:00 we headed to Mesa to meet Kristan & my daughter in law Karen who is the booth manager for the Rusty Pickle booth at the convention and to drop off Morgan. She is spending the weekend with her mom in the hotel..and her friends in Mesa. We were all planning on going to dinner, but the traffic to Mesa was so jammed that our trip took 1 1/2 hours to get there.. So I just helped out in the Rusty Pickle booth for a while and then helped Kristan get settled into her room at the hotel. Then I headed to the Phoenix airport to pick up Marissa, she was flying in from SLC to spend the weekend with her family. I arrived just before her flight landed and was so happy to see her as she walked out through security.. I hadn't seen her since Christmas.. We gathered her luggage and headed north.. Stopped at California Pizza Kitchen in the Biltmore for dinner. Such a wonderful evening..She is so much fun to be with.. her phone was ringing off the hook with text messages from a ton of boys.. She is not serious with any one, but friends with many.. After finals at BYU next week she will be heading to Seattle to work for the summer and then she is going abroad to the Ukraine for fall semester to teach English to children. Such an adventurer..
Such a wonderful day to be able to spend time with both Morgan and Marissa.. I love them SOOOOO much.
I am off to Mesa again this morning to work with Kristan and help her in her classroom. She is teaching 4 classes a day for Rusty Pickle at the CKC convention.
