It was a busy week. . . .

It's been a very busy few days and I really have been meaning to put up a new post on my blog..but just haven't gotten around to it until today.

Last Wednesday I had my monthly card class and had a great time with the girls...

On Thursday I traveled to Tucson with Kristan to one of my favorite scrapbook stores. She was working and I was playing.. I always have so much fun at Pages n' Progress with the girls there and find things I just have to have. spent the day creating the samples for my up-coming card classes for Sept. We spent the night at Terri's home, one of the owners of the store and then visited the other great store in Tucson "Making Memories Unforgettable" on Friday.. Just love the girls there too..

Friday was Kent's birthday and I do try to keep busy on those special days, even though I love to think of him and remember all the fun times we always had on his birthdays.. It is a day of reflecting and tears and great memories..

Then on Saturday it would have been my 45th wedding anniversary along with it being the birthday of my oldest son Steve..He was born on our 2nd wedding anniversary..Great anniversary gift " a new baby boy".. He is such a joy in my life and so much fun. He is very involved with the young men's group at church, and very involved with his own family. He is the dad to 3 great kids and a wonderful father & husband. I love that he calls me while he is driving home from work a couple times a week "just to check in".. he says. He is very talented in writing and in graphic design and marketing..

The end of last week was spent helping Kristan and her partner Janna work on projects for their up-coming "Southwest Summer Scrapbook Vendors Show".. It was going to be this Tues & Weds the 18th & 19th.. at the Doubletree Resort in Scottsdale.. The 5 scrapbook vendor groups that cover Arizona, New Mexico & Nevada joined forces to put on a fantastic event for the retail stores in the southwest, to preview all the new merchandise that was released at the national CHA show in Orlando in July. We set up the ballroom this Monday and it was so great.. There were over 90 companies represented in the scrapbook industry. Many of the companies sent representatives to the show and there were make n' takes and classes and prizes galore.. It was a very well attended show and everyone who came was very impressed.. (especially me).

Today is the 8th birthday of my granddaughter Alli.. She is my youngest granddaughter and so loved . Her favorite pastime is Webkins.. She has a boat load of them and know each ones name and can tell you all about them.. She plays soccer, is in girl scouts and is in the 3rd grade. She is such a kind hearted little girl and very brave, she has gone through some major medical issues and is always so brave when she has to have a new procedure or blood work or scans.. I'm sure she is the bravest one in the family when it comes to hospitals and doctors.. she loves life and I love her.

Went to see "The Time Travelers Wife" this week with Connie and really loved it.. There were a couple of times that I have questions about, but I must remember that it is fiction and if I could accept most of the movie, I should be able to accept all of it..

I have a few days off before my adventures next week. I have my All About Class on Tuesday evening and that is always so much fun.

I have been a volunteer for the "Creative Escape" scrapbook conference for the past 3 years and it is coming up again next week. It is being held at the Sheraton Wild Horse Resort and is so much fun. I volunteer with my daughter Kristan, my daughters-in-law Karen & Jamie and many friends. It is 3 full days of classes, events and fun. Seeing old friends making many new friends and having a wonderful time. We all stay at the resort and feel very pampered for the duration of the event.

So as you can see I'm keeping busy in this 109 degree heat here in the desert southwest.. Talk to you later

Sounds like your life is very busy right now! It seems like the more people we get into our lives, the more events there are every day. Huh? I think that is great that Dylan got that award. Kristan is such an awesome mother, who is so encouraging to her kids. I am sure she got her great traits from you. You are the same way. You have an awesome family! Glad to see you are keeping busy during the hard days (like Kent's birthday, anniversaries, etc.)
Love ya!
