If you know me at all you know I am a klutz, when it comes to falling. I can trip and fall over the littlest things.. stairs. curbs, tables, chairs you name it I have taken a great fall my whole life. On the day before I was to start my great 3 days at Creative Escape at the Sheraton Wild Horse Resort, I was visiting my friend Connie and upon leaving I did it..yep I tripped over the curb at her place and fell flat onto the parking lot. All I could think of as I saw myself falling, was OH NO I have to be OK to go to Creative Escape tomorrow morning. As I hit the pavement HARD my glasses flew and the breath was knocked out of me. I was so scared that I would have something broken, it was such a hard fall.. But I moved my fingers and my toes and was relieved at that. I was surrounded by Connie and her cousins and they were all very concerned.. My nose was bleeding and I hurt, but as I started to move each part of my body I was amazed that it all worked.. So no broken glasses, just bruises and soreness. So I was ready to attend one of my favorite events every year.

Creative Escape

My daughter-in-law Karen & Connie were group leaders for 75 of the most fun attendees at the event. We had our token guy "Dale" in our group again. It is so fun to see so many old friends and have some of the same ones in our group that we have had for several years. We work from 7:00 am until late. Get up the next morning and do it again.. It is such a bonding experience. Everyone goes to 8 classes and a few other fun events while they are there. The closing night is a formal sit down dinner.. We hold raffles and auctions to go toward the Cancer & Lymphoma foundation. We raised almost $18,000.00 this year thanks to so many generous women.

This is part of the volunteers at the end of classes on Saturday relaxing until the dinner.

This Wednesday I taught my card classes.. This was the first class for the season, since I took the summer off.. We had a great time.. Here are 3 of the cards we created in class.

Today is the "17th" Birthday of my grandaughter Karleigh. She is a Junior in High School. Swims on the school swim team and her favorite stroke is the breaststroke.. Got to see her swim yesterday in a meet. She has an amazing singing voice and is in the concert choir at her school. She was inducted into the Music Honor Society and hold an office in Choir. She has such a sweet spirit and has always been so special to me..

My grandson Dylan arrived in Lima, Peru on Weds. and he loves it. We got an e-mail and he is just so excited to be there to start his mission.. I am anxious to find out where his first area will be that he will serve. It could be in the large city of Lima or at the top of the Andes mountains in a small village.. What an amazing 2 years he will have.

Going to lunch with Connie and then to see the movie "The Switch" fun day!
