June has been a busy month so far..
2nd: I attended the Arizona School for the Arts final Showcase performance of the year held at Phoenix Symphony Hall. What a fantastic evening. Maddy is in the 8th grade and she performed with the orchestra and I was blown away. They filled the entire stage and were phenomenal, I would put them up against any orchestra that plays professionally. the music was breathtaking. Maddy sang with the showcase choir and it was so beautiful, there were 250 in this choir and it was amazing. Zack is in the 5th grade, they performed in both orchestra and choir. The orchestra was very good, the choir was amazing.. I got chills as I listened to their performance.
5th: My grandson Coleton turned 13. He is such a fun kid to be around and always the life of the party. He loves to perform and was in Oliver this past year. He plays baseball and is a wiz on the wii.. He is such a joy to me..
9th: held my monthly card class and we had a wonderful morning.
We made cards for the guys in our lives..

I have gotten to spend a lot of time with my darling great grandaughter Malorie this past couple weeks and she is such a sweetheart.. Such a happy baby. She was diagnosed with club feet when she was born and so the wonderful doctors at Phoenix Children's Pediatric Orthopedic clinic have started her therapy. She has casts on both legs from her diaper to her toes. They remove the casts each week and re-position her feet and re-cast. This last week was the first step and the Doctors were so pleased at the progress made in just one week of casting. She is such a trooper and didn't mind the casts at all and when she went in to have them removed wasn't alarmed by the noise of the saw to cut them off, she just laid there and looked around.. She is such a mellow baby.. It has been so much fun to spend so much time with her and her mom and her grandma.. (Kristan).. or MiMi as she likes to be called.12th: Went to dinner at Kierland's Tommy Bahamas with Connie and then we attended the Summer Concert on the center plaza. It is an open area that they set up the stage and hundreds of people bring blankets and chairs and gather to hear the great music. Last night the band "Instant Classics", performed and they were really good. It was such a beautiful evening, the weather wasn't hot and there was a cool breeze blowing..
a wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening.
Today: is the birthday of my oldest grandson Dylan.
He is getting ready to leave on his mission for our church to Lima, Peru in 8 weeks. Dylan has always been the first one to come give me a hug when he sees me. He is an adventurer at heart and loves to snow board and ski and takes every opportunity to do so. Dylan has grown up to be such an awesome young man and I am so proud of him.
