The 4th with Family & friends

Yesterday 26 of my family & friends all met at my oldest sons home for

a pot luck bar-b-cue for a 4th of July celebration.

We each brought our favorites

for the dinner and there was so much good food..

After dinner as we waited for the sun to go down and the fireworks to start we had:

Games being played on the living room floor:

*One group of little girls playing "Life"

*Another group playing "Sorry"

*A group of tutors gathered around the table helping Kristan with her college algebra

*Some of the guys watching sports on TV

*Others in the back yard playing soccer

*I was snuggling my sweet great-grandaughter

*A group of gals gathered around the kitchen

table deep in conversation.

At 9:00 the fireworks started in a park a couple blocks from our party

so we were able to sit in the back yard and have a great fireworks show right overhead.

Then the desserts came out and we all laughed and talked until

everyone started to leave for their own homes.

This is my idea of "A WONDERFUL EVENING", with those I love the most!
