Last night I had a fun visit from 2 friends and as we were talking about our lives we talked about my classes and what fun I have with the ladies in my classes. I shared with them the "All About Me" class and how we each share our journaling each month with each other. So as we looked at my album and I explained about the class and why it is important for me to document my feelings and activities for my children and grandchildren, we also talked about the importance of keeping journals. Each month I print off the enteries from my blog and put those pages into an album, so I use this as my journal. I keep my daily activities written on a calendar and then when I need to refer to a specific event, I can know exactly when it took place. I have calenders from years back and love to look at them and remember those special events.

As I was organizing my office in the last few days I came across some quotes that I had written down in a recent class that I had taken.
"We write to taste life twice,
once in the moment
& once in retrospect."
* * * *
"Every day, every life has something in it to celebrate."
I love these 2 quotes and want to keep them near so I can look at them often.
The month of July is flying by and I haven't written since the 4th.
On July 8th my grandaughter Maddy celebrated her 14th birthday. She is going to be a Freshman in H.S. in the fall and has chosen to attend public H.S. She is so talented and such an awesome musician, I know she will be able to showcase her talents while there. I love that she writes songs for me on my birthday and is always up for singing them for me in front of family and friends. She is a read-a-holic, always has a book with her. I love this sweet girl so much and I'm so glad she lives close, so I can enjoy her talents.
This month I have gotten to go with Kristan to Tucson & Prescott to call on stores and see old friends. I love to travel to these stores and we took several friends with us this month on our visits..so it was extra fun.
The month of August is coming fast and is filled with so many special events in our family.. It will be so fun to write about these as they happen and share them with you.
