Cactus Flowers

Yesterday as I was driving through the desert on my way to church , I noticed that the Saguaro Cactus were starting to bloom. The flowers of the desert cactus are so beautiful, they look like wax flowers and stand out in contrast to the cactus itself. As I drove I looked to see just how many blooms I could spot on my route. Each cactus in our southwest desert seems to bloom at a different time and so most of the others have lost their blooms already. I just love the flowers in the desert, the colors are so vibrant and bring such beauty to the landscape.

Last night we had our monthly family get-together. It was really fun and the cousins all had such a great time together.. they were trying to figure out who in the family they looked most like and then were taking pictures (crazy ones) together.. Kelly & Taylor, Dylan & Karleigh. Each of them egging the others on to be more ridiculous in their pose for the camera. Giggles and laughter escaping from the living room where the younger ones were just having fun playing Apples to Apples.. It is such a joy to see them all having so much fun together..
