I have had a very busy week: Loved every minute of it.
- Prepped and put together the kits for my card classes on Weds.
- Got a phone call from my grandaughter Morgan that I am going to be a "great" grama in June.. Wow, such exciting news.
- I attended the swim meet of my grandaughter Karleigh..
- Went out to lunch with Cheryl & Connie..fun time and my favorite CPK bar-b-cue chopped chicken salad.
- Taught my 2 card classes, one in the morning and one in the evening.
- Attended the Fall Choir Concert at Shadow Mountain High School to see Karleigh perform. Great concert, so much energy.
- The next night I attended the Fall Choir Concert at Pinnacle High School to see my grandaughter Taylor perform. Wonderful concert, beautiful music.
- Spent Saturday at Time Out for Women, then attended the repertory production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Sat. evening.

A sample of some of the cards we made in card class on Weds. Such a great bunch of gals I have in my classes.. Look forward each month to having them in my home and spending time with them.

Saturday morning I attended "Time Out for Women" with Kristan and our friend Angie. Such an inspiring day, filled with music by Kenneth Cope .. One of my all time favorite artists. He has such a wonderful tone to his voice and I love to listen to him sing of the things of his heart. He is a multiple Pearl Award winner for his music.. I am so inspired when I listen to him sing. He performed throughout the day.. They also had 4 marvelous speakers that that I loved. Emily Watts, who has you in stitches for her entire presentation and brings such a fun into discussing the fruits of motherhood. Emily Freeman shared how to live an abundant life and her struggle & perspective on it..Loved it.. Wendy Ulrich talked about how to rise above our weaknesses and become stronger women.. so inspiring. The final speaker was Kris Belcher, she was born with a rare form of eye cancer and discussed her journey through the trials of living her life blind.. She was so hysterical and had such an amazing outlook on life.. We were all rolling on the floor with laughter through her entire talk.. All in all it was an amazing day as we learned thru "Sweet Assurance" the certainty that comes when you know life's truths.
Kenneth Cope
Kenneth CopeEasy to look at as well as so very talented. I have always loved his music and always get each new CD when it comes out. I had met him at BYU several years ago and got to spend some time talking to him and having him sign some CD's & have my picture taken with him, and one of the things I remembered about him was how soft his hands were. So when I talked to him yesterday, I recounted that thought to him of my memory of our meeting in Provo. He took my hand and kissed it and said "Oh, you are so sweet".
I am sure he doesn't remember, but I sure do.
Last night Kristan, Karleigh & I traveled to the other side of the valley to the production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". One of Kristan's childhood friends had a daughter performing it this. It was held at the Chandler Fine Arts Theater. (an hour away). The production was wonderful, the actors all had such amazing voices and the show was filled with songs, dancing and so fun to watch.
