I am so lucky to be a grams to such wonderful kids.. they are the joy in my life and I love the fact they they include me in their lives and invite me to all their activities. I was busy this week getting the finishing touches on the gifts I was making for my new great grandbaby girl.. Also working on a project for a friend and for my daughter-in-law..

On Weds. I attended the Pinnacle Invitational Track Meet.. It was at 3:30 in the afternoon and was 85 degrees out.. really warm sitting on those metal bleachers.. My grandson Kelly runs track for Pinnacle H.S. He is so fast and had 2 great runs.. On Friday my grandaughter Morgan asked me to go with her to the Mesa Temple.. We had a great time was able to spend several hours with her..

Saturday was the baby shower for Morgan, I helped get it set up and get my food all laid out that I had prepared.. The decorations were all in pink & brown and so stinkin cute.. About 35 family and friends were in attendance to help celebrate this wonderful event.
Morgan and her friend Lizzie.. checking on baby Malorie

The table in the living room all decked out in pink & brown: a diaper cake was the centerpiece, then there were glass bowls filled with pink & brown candies, specialized chocolate bars all wrapped up for everyone to take home. Kristan had out done herself in making and getting all these adorable decorations together for the shower..
A clothes line hung with adorable tiny baby clothes were such a cute decoration

Lots of great food 3 giant submarine sandwiches, potato salad, pasta salad, frog eye salad, olives, pickles and veggies and dip.. frappe punch & cake. The centerpiece on this table was decked out with baby pictures of Morgan and Trent and adorned with tiny shoes and assorted baby things.
What a lucky baby.. all this on top of all the things she has already been given by my friend Charlie and her Mimi Kristan.. She got her crib and all the bedding and a stroller and car seat as well as all the wonderful things you see here. We decided that I would be called G.G. by my new great grandaughter.. I love it!

After the shower I went with Jason & Jamie to see my grandaughter Maddy perform in the Arizona All State strings performance. It was being held in the Gilbert-Higley Fine Arts Center, which was over an hour drive away.. For All State, each school may submit "1" performer on each instrument to take part. Maddy attends the Arizona School for the performing Arts and such an honor to be selected with her cello. There were over 20 cello's there and Maddy was selected 5th chair.. wow.. the music was beautiful and I loved being able to attend the event. Afterwards we decided to go to dinner at CPK.. you know another favorite of mine..
What a great day..spending time with good friends and family.
