Beauty of the desert

Every since I moved to Arizona, I have heard people say how beautiful the desert was. All I could see was dirt, cactus and not very pretty trees and plants.
This past year we have had so much rain here in the Southwest that the plants have give us the beauty of color.. So much color and beautiful awe inspiring things to look at. I have loved driving through the desert and the streets to see the color that has emerged from these ordinary plants. These past few weeks our area is ablaze with yellow, trees and bushes covered in yellow blooms. When Kristan and I drove to California a couple weeks ago the desert along the freeway was covered with yellow blossomed plants the entire trip.. So pretty to see on our drive.
I have several of these trees out my back view. Just love them.

The cactus are sprouting beautiful blooms also.. & such magnificent colors come from cactus. The flowers look like they are made of wax, the petals are thick and the vibrant colors make the flowers pop among the cactus.

The flowerbeds and the wild flowers are a mixture of bright vibrant colors and such a joy to see.
The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom this year too. Bright purple flowers cover the branches and are breath taking. I had one of these trees in my backyard of my home and I miss seeing it this time of year, but as I drive around I have been noticing so many on my travels. Beautiful clouds of purple.
This bush is some sort of sage and is out off my patio and has tiny yellow flowers covering it.

Here is a close up picture I found of the beautiful flowers on the saguaro cactus..

I'm not sure what this plant is but the flowers are amazing
So you can see that the desert is showing off this spring with all it's beautiful color,
and I love all of it..
