On Saturday, I participated in helping with the boy scout breakfast. This fund raising breakfast was to help the boys in our troop earn some money for boy scout summer camp. When I arrived at the breakfast location, I was so pleasantly surprised.. the leaders had everything set up and going and the boys were getting the dining room all set. We served around 200 people and it was a beautiful morning..the weather cooperated and we had 65 degrees and a breeze.. I was the money handler and ticket taker.. The boys had a great time and all the scout leaders were very happy with the event..
Yesterday was the dedication of the new Gila River Valley Arizona Temple. I attended the dedication broadcast with Steve and his family. It was a beautiful ceremony and these don't happen very often so I was so glad I got to attend.. After the dedication I was invited to have brunch at Steve & Karen's home. After we ate we decided to take their dog Teegan for a walk.. She is the best dog, so mellow and so loving.
She is mellow until you see a lizard or gecko and then she takes off like lightening.. I was so glad that Steve was holding her leash on the walk..because we saw so many geckos scurrying about and Teegan would take off and try to catch them. It was a beautiful day, the weather was in the low 80's and a slight breeze, so it was very enjoyable to walk thru the desert wash.
This week I have a high school graduation, card samples to make, card kits to cut and create and my daughter-in-laws birthday.. I love this cooler weather we are having late in the month of May, it will be so hot way to soon, so I am really enjoying this.
