This coming Tuesday is the birthday of my grandaughter Taylor. She is 15, wow the time has flown by. She is a Freshman in H.S. and very involved in the theater arts and music. Performing this year in the production of Oliver and Footloose. She also performs in the choir at her H.S. Taylor has such a sweet, fun demeanor about her, she is very active in all aspects of her school and church and such a wonderful example to her peers.
"Mothers Day"
"It takes a while to realize all the things I did to guide and help my children. It takes a lot of birthday cakes and toys now laid aside to assure that my love and trust were true. It took many hours of teaching and dividing right from wrong for them to appreciate the wisdom and be assured that my faith was so strong, and after all the years in which I cared and helped and planned, I am now so rewarded when my children say "Now at last we understand".
I am so blessed to have the most wonderful children in the world. They each bring so much happiness into my life and each one touches it a different way each day. They are such positive examples not only to me but to their families and friends and I cherish their love.

I am having dinner at my son Steve's home this evening with his family and my daughter Kristan's family. Love to spend time together with those I love so much. Jamie isn't feeling well so, Jason and his family aren't joining us.. Last week started out with a concert at the Arizona School of the Arts, 5th grade class. My grandson Zack started this year at ASA and loves it. He performed in the strings and the choir portion of the concert. The strings performance was excellent and the music was beautiful. The choir was amazing.. their director is also the director for the Phoenix Boys Choir and I was so blown away by the music. Since this was the 5th grade, the boys voices have not changed yet. I sat there and got chills because the music was so beautiful and was so proud of Zack.
On Weds. I taught my monthly card class and we had a great time.

On Friday evening I attended "Diner Nite" at ASA. It is like open mike night at a club. The students auditioned before a panel of teachers and the top 20 acts were chosen to preform. My grandaughter Maddy sang an original song and accompanied herself on the guitar. She was amazing. Such talent.. It was a fun evening with lots of different performances.

This coming week is a FREE week.. no classes to prepare for.
On Friday and Saturday I get to participate in the "Creative Escape" preview day. All the volunteers take each class that will be presented at Creative Escape in August and help the teachers tweek their presentations. It is such a fun, busy, full 2 days that I get to spend with many friends and of course my daughter and daughter-in-laws.. which is the best part..
