I worked Monday morning at W.S. and then I visited the condo & I was so excited they had all the scaffolding down from around the outside and the interior was newly painted.. I knew the time was getting close, every time I visit it is a little further along.
Wednesday I worked on my samples for my up-coming Advanced card class, all day.

Thursday Kristan called from Salt lake City and shared a wonderful event that we in conjunction with Rusty Pickle are going to put on to raise money for Tracy Armstrong and his family. Tasha the owner of Rusty pickle told Kristan that their company wanted to do something for this courageous family and wanted to know if we would be interested in helping put on a Huge Scrapbook event in Phoenix, with all the proceeds going to the Armstrong family. They would send Lance (Tasha's husband) to Phoenix to teach classes at the event.. We will have tables set up for people to crop all day if they want.. We will have a catered dinner and tons of prizes.. It is so exciting to be a part of such a fantastic event. So I spent the better part of the day Thursday organizing my HUGE supply of printed papers. Since I no longer work as a sales rep. I have so many supplies that I will never use and put them into packets to give away at the event. The event is being planned for the end of September in Phoenix and Tasha and Lance are sponsoring another fund raising event in Utah in November.. Such wonderful people. They are furnishing everything for the classes and giving us lots of give-a-ways too.
On Thursday evening my house started getting warm and I checked my thermostat and the air conditioner was not blowing cool air.. not a good thing in Phoenix in August.. I could hear the motor running but no fan blowing.. I turned it off and back on several times to no avail.. I called the repair service and after several conversations decided to wait until Friday morning, in case I needed a new fan and the tech. didn't have one to fit my unit on his truck.. Thank heavens for ceiling fans.. it was approaching 95 degrees at about 10 that night and I decided to try one more time and the unit clicked on and cool air began to come from my vents..YEAH..
Friday morning the tech. arrived and found my problem and fixed it and I have had cool air since.. thank heavens.
Then it happened..the phone rang and it was Sue from the condo and she told me that my walk through for my condo was scheduled for October 24th and would that be OK? I was so excited "OF COURSE" I said.. She asked me to come out soon and sign the papers to get the process underway, I told her I would be out on Sat. after work. So Sat. after work I met Steve and Grant at the condo and signed the papers. I now have doors and my woodwork installed. They have the footings for the driveway and walkways set ready to pour..
Last night was my grandson Logan's baptism.. My entire family was there along with many friends of the family. Logan's older brother Dylan baptized him, what a special moment.
Marissa left this morning for Utah and school, she has been staying at my house the last couple of nights with her roomate Ariel (who is from Georgia). Ariel and her mom and sister drove thru Arizona to pick up Marissa. It was fun having them stay with me for a couple days. I am so proud of Marissa and her accomplishments. She is registered for 18 credit hours at school and working again this year at the Brick Oven Restaurant.. She earned enough money this summer to pay for her tuition this year and to buy a car.. What an awesome young woman....
