This is my grandaughter Marissa. She is leaving tomorrow morning for the Ukraine. She will be living in Kiev & teaching English to 3 & 4 year olds. She is going with a program called International Language Program. She will be teaching in their school along with 9 other students from BYU. She will be there for the fall semester, returning late December. We are all excited for her and also scared to have her so far away. Kiev is the capital & the largest city of the Ukraine and it is beautiful. It is a huge bustling city.

a shopping mall, just what she will be looking for, I'm sure.

She flies from Phoenix to Chicago where she meets up with a friend that is going also and they fly to Germany where they will meet the other 8, then off to Kiev. I am so proud of her and her adventuring spirit. She will remember this experience for the rest of her life. She has such a sweet spirit about her, I just know that her class of children will love her.. She will be living with a host family while she is there. They only teach 1 hour a day and then they have the rest of the time to venture out and see the beautiful country.
