On Friday I took my granddaughter Alli & Connie took her two granddaughter's to see the movie "The Princess and the Frog".. It was a very fun movie and the girls loved it. On Saturday morning I picked up Kristan at 7am and we headed to Tucson to my favorite scrapbook store Pages n' Progress for the morning to participate in the new Hero Arts Stamp introduction and preview party. The traffic going down was crazy, bumper to bumper at 7 in the morning and we couldn't figure out why on a Saturday morning it would be so busy. We discovered the reason when we were in Tucson. One of the ladies in the store explained that the weekend before Christmas all the Christmas shoppers from Mexico come to the valley to shop and get great holiday bargains. It is called the Mexican inversion.. Cars were loaded down with huge tarps covering their goodies on top of their cars.. Had a very fun time in the store and saw many friends while we were there. We headed home around 12:30 and hit the crazy traffic on the way home too..

Last night my kids and grandkids all went to Mesa to see the lights at the Mesa Arizona Temple. What a beautiful sight.. Everywhere is covered with beautiful lights. They also have musical performances each evening to entertain. So with family, beautiful lights and music I had a wonderful evening. We made a traditional stop at Dairy Queen after for a treat.. Imagine the staffs surprise when 20 people crowded in to get their treats. We all sat around tables outside in the beautiful evening enjoying our treats and laughed and visited for a while before heading home.. Fun evening..

Tonight we are having an ugly sweater family Christmas party.. Everyone is bringing a homemade soup that we will serve in yummy bread bowls..then we have the fun of watching Marissa & Christopher open their presents, since they have to leave on Weds. to go to Christopher's family in Utah. We are then going to go over to the elderly couple that Kristan takes care of and sing Christmas Carols to them.

Always love spending time with family..
