It's getting chilly outside....

Finally I can wear sweatshirts both indoors and outside.. Love it when the weather cools down..

I have had a busy week, on Monday I went to lunch with two sweet ladies at Sauce and had their wonderful turkey chopped salad, so glad I was introduced to this restaurant..love the food there. If you remember that this is the time of year that I take a pre-Christmas surprise to each of my children & their families on each Monday evening between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This week I brought one of our favorite snacks Salt & Pepper Pistachios. everyone was excited about this gift.. We all love them..

My granddaughter Maddy was selected to participate in "All State Orchestra", she is so very talented and loves to play her cello and write music and sing. Very proud of her accomplishments on the Cello.

On Tuesday I made my first trip to the Boy Scout Headquarters on scout business.. a little daunting to say the least. I am just beginning to learn my responsibilities as Advancement Chair on the scout committee.

On Thursday evening my friend Connie and I had tickets for the Front Row Theatre's production of "Oliver". This production is produced by Don Bluth, world renowned animator and director. Four of my grandchildren are performing in the production. This was the second time I had attended the performance, but I never get tired of seeing my grandchildren perform. The production was wonderful.

Last night was the final performance of the production. They all had such a great time and learned so much while they were involved in putting on this fantastic musical. They started rehearsals in August, so it quite a commitment for the kids and for their parents, but I know they all feel it was so worth all the time and effort they put in to it. Maddy was in the production of "Sound Of Music" last year, Taylor worked backstage on that production, but this was the first participation in one of the musicals for the other 3. Both my son Jason and my daughter-in-law Jamie are very involved in the production as the theatre managers. My grandson Tyler was at all the practices and productions, so I'm sure he could step in as an understudy at any time, he sat thru so many practices.

Connie and I had gone to dinner at Pizza Picazzo's before the play and I love to go there, because Marissa worked there when it first opened and loved it..

I have been working on gifts for Christmas all week and am getting a handle on getting them all finished.. Still working on my main gift for my adult kids.. Love creating and putting together special things for those I love.

On Thursday afternoon Connie and I went to see the movie "Old Dogs", what a great movie, we laughed so hard thru the entire movie..A great way to spend a couple of fun filled hours.
