This week has been filled with Sunshine, which is great and wind; which chills to the bone. I learned early in the week on Monday while sitting at my grandsons baseball game that just a sweatshirt didn't cut it. So the next night I took along my fleece blanket to wrap around me at that evenings ballgame..much better.. On Weds. I attended another grandsons track meet and even though it started around 4pm, I still wore my sweatshirt and jeans and was very comfortable. This time of year the southwest desert can be hot one day, cold and windy the next. So now I am now prepared and along with my chair in the back of my car I keep my blanket, just in case. On Thursday I had dinner out with my friend Connie. We met at a great Mexican Restaurant and feasted on authentic Mexican food. The place was bustling and people were waiting, so when we finished our meal we decided to to a little Gelato shop that Connie loved and continue our conversations. It is called "That's Amore' " and it was sooooooo good. I had the vanilla with black cherries in it and it was yummy. Last night I attended a family surprise birthday party for my son-in-law Don and my soon to be grandson (by marriage) Trent. The party was held at the park by my daughter Kristan's home and was attended by many family and friends. We laughed, talked and shared stories and had a great evening. Yesterday and this morning I have been watching "The Annual General Conference" of our church and have been so touched by the wonderful inspiring words that have been spoken. I always look forward to conference and the feeling of such a wonderful spirit & and getting my faith re-newed by such awesome speakers, with wonderful messages to share with all of us.
The coming week is filled with more ball games, a trip to the Phoenix Botanical Gardens and the Chihuly exhibit. and then my card classes and then more ball games and finally on Saturday a very special performance of "The Sound of Music" in which my grandaughter Maddy is performing. So I have a very busy week ahead of me..yeah "I love it".
